Speckled Bird in the cabin

After slaying bamboo for so long, it is good to report some good news. The cabin has been vacant since Jonathan and Antonia purchased the one next door and moved in. They have temporarily turned the empty cabin into a recording studio for their next Speckled Bird album, The Fire Next Time. Allen from Viking Recording is doing the honors, along with intern Matt. They like the acoustics in the room, as well as some of the ambient sounds they have been able to capture.

Jonathan's blog gives some details of how it is going. They are expected to be recording most of July. Check it out.

Now I've got to go slay some more bamboo.
